Fishing in Pellinge

Marie Kellgren's family has been fishing in the Pellinge archipelago since the mid-1800s. She is prepared for the fish tradition to end with her.

The amount of fish in the sea is dwindling, climate change makes it more difficult

the work and they also fight for the fish with the cormorant, the seal and the otter.

- As a small family business, we catch less fish in a year than a fisherman does on a single trip out. I wouldn't say that it is the fish that is the culprit in the drama here, says Marie Kellgren but the many laws, commercial restrictions and climate change which are rapidly affecting our livelihood.
